The Chilham Parish Recreation Ground Trust is a volunteer-led charitable organisation that has been at the heart of village life since its establishment in 1971.
Entirely funded by fundraising efforts and generous donations, the Recreation Ground boasts a range of community facilities, including a Sports Hall, a floodlit Multi-Use Games Area, a children’s play area, and three tennis courts (two of which are floodlit) operated by the local tennis club.
As a vital hub for the community, the Recreation Ground hosts numerous key events throughout the year. Chilham St. Mary’s Primary School has long relied on the facilities for their sports activities, a tradition the Trust is proud to uphold. Chilham FC also plays their home matches here, and we host regular Boot Fairs.
To support the ongoing maintenance and development of these valued facilities, the Trust established the 100+ Club village lottery in 1989. The proceeds are split equally between cash prizes and funding for the Trust.
Becoming a 100+ Club member is a fantastic way to contribute to this cherished community resource — and with better odds than the Premium Bonds or National Lottery, why not give it a go?
